ABOUT THE
DETROIT ABOA
The Detroit Associate Board of Ambassadors (ABOA) is a cohort of individuals committed to the American Cancer Society’s mission- saving lives by eliminating cancer- through philanthropic efforts to fund research for cures, support patients, prevention, and detection.
The Detroit Skyline Soiree is one of the premier events hosted by the American Cancer Society’s Detroit Associate Board of Ambassadors. This gala has been held at many different event venues in the city of Detroit and is attended by about 200 guests. The Detroit ABOA has raised over $850,000 for the American Cancer Society since the inception of the Detroit Skyline Soiree event in 2014.
Members of the ABOA are encouraged to host and attend fundraising events throughout the year to network, support ACS's mission, and simply have a great time! The board meets on a monthly basis, alternating between virtual and in person meetings.
